Compare the flat armpit-to-armpit width, sleeve length and back length with a similar garment you own. A jacket needs enough room for the layers you plan to wear underneath. Ask for missing measurements rather than relying only on Small, Medium or Large.
How do I check the fit of second-hand trousers?
